Our team provides high-quality ultrasound and X-Ray imaging services, and we make every effort to prioritise urgent requests. If you are a referrer and would be referring on behalf of your patient, please let us know on your referral form to contact your patient to organise a time for an appointment.

PACs

At Lux Radiology, we use Centralpacs for secure image storage. If you would like to view images and do not already have a Centralpacs login ID, you can sign up on www.centralpacs.co.nz or we are happy to help you with this.

What clients should bring to a scan

  1. Your referral form
  2. Growth chart (if you have one)
  3. All previous images and reports if you have them

Patient Preparation

Gallbladder or upper abdomen

Please prepare as follows;

  • Nothing to eat 6 hours prior to your scan and only water to drink. If you are diabetic, please consult with your Doctor.
  • Continue taking your medication as normal.

Renal, kidney, bladder, prostate, lower abdomen, female pelvis, gynae, or dating pregnancy scans

Please prepare as follows;

  • Please arrive to your scan with a full bladder. Empty your bladder one hour prior then drink 3-4 glasses of water,
  • if your bladder is not full ten minutes prior to your examination, please drink more water. If you are uncomfortably full you may let some out.

Abdomen or pelvis

Please prepare as follows;
