I had booked my appointment online and mistakenly set the date for October instead of this month. I fully acknowledge that this was my own error. However, upon arriving at the clinic today, I was extremely disappointed by the unprofessional behavior of the reception staff.
Despite there being several staff members at the front desk, I was met with dismissive looks, as though my presence was unwelcome or confusing. One receptionist, in particular, was sitting in an unprofessional manner and looked me up and down as if to express disbelief or judgment about my mistake. This reaction was very upsetting, especially given that I was already embarrassed by my own error.
The reason I chose this clinic, despite the distance from my home, was because of the positive experience I previously had with sonographer Nethanel Murania, who is exceptionally kind, thorough, and professional. Unfortunately, the conduct of the reception staff during today’s visit has overshadowed that experience, leaving me with the strong impression that I do not wish to return.
I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as professionalism and empathy at the reception desk are critical to patient experience.
We went in for our final ultrasound and had Andrew - when I say we had the best experience I mean the BEST. We’ve had scans at four different locations (had a side effect with our bubba so needed four more scans than usual) and Lux Radiology has always been our favourite. The attention, detail and lightness of the experience with Andrew was truly next level - we laughed, felt reassured and left with a cute snap of baby. Couldn’t recommend him enough - wish we’d found out about him earlier so we could have had him for all our scans :)
